There was a thread on the Forum a while ago about fuel tank painting, Lewis Templeton got a mention, has anyone had a tank done recently, and if so what were the costs, I have managed to ruin my D Comet tank by transporting it in a van with a fullish tank of fuel and a tank bag in situ, resulting in dissolved black paint, I suppose the logical conclusion is I should ride to places and not transport it, or make sure the fuel tank is only half full.

Hi, I've done a few Comet tanks recently and have an advert in this months MPH magazine if you want to have a chat? I can put you in contact with a northwest member for an independent review.

Peter,

The same thing could have happened easily by riding the bike. There is one parked nearby that has the tank bag still on it because the paint underneath was ruined during a ride.
