Lay shaft bearing failure - again!

I too had an oil leak from the kickstart cover area, which was elusive. Eventually, after many abortive attempts to trace it, I found that oil was travelling along one of the crankcase tunnels (Position K on MO41), from both the primary chaincase AND from the gearbox, and exiting between the crankcase and the G50 plate. It then travelled down the rear of the G50 and fell off behind the kickstart cover. A good clean and the talcum powder sounds like a good idea, but remember to look underneath as well.
