At least 30 years ago, I got a tube spanner from Ron Kemp that fits the oil filter cover and maybe the countershaft sprocket nut. Maybe Vin Parts still sells them?

Spares company have a full set of box spanners including oil filter cap

Over the years I have had to make the hex on the oil filter cap smaller getting rid of nasty looking cole chisel marks.
