K1 spanner

Here's one to appal the purists. Some of the early six point K1s had too much meat around the edge of the hexagon to fit the oil filter cap. However with a little judicious hacksawing they made an ideal open-ended spanner to tighten those valve spring caps with the UFM in situ.

On some machines you can get away with grinding away just enough metal at the front of the spanner to ease over the valve cap.You can also replace ET160 washers at full lift of the inlet valve (at least on my Comets).

Tried that with one of my K1s and it just crumpled as I tried to undo the oil filter cap. Not being an engineer type I didn't foresee the outcome. Oh well...
