As a club we are very lucky in that of the 35 Lightnings made, all 45 are known about. Sorry its just gone up to 46 as another has just appeared.

I love when people start the bikes on rollers, then check the oil is returning, engine happily revving away.............I prefer to spin the engine over before start and know the oil is returning first, that is after a full pre-oil of the timing chest and the sump has at least a cup full of oil to return faster............This is better insurance for the cams and followers, the weakest part of our engines.
