Hello, hello, this post seems mighty familiar, I am 20, and this time last year I had the same problem, where about are you based?
Fancy a Vincent Rally for the under 25s?
I looked at Carrol Nash (£600), Footman James (refused), Bennetts (£750), norwich union and Devitt (Refused).
For Fixed millage under 1000 miles.
I went with Norwich Union in the end at £350 TPFF. It would have been cheaper but i chose to pay monthly rather than for the whole year, I cancled it after 2 months. Meaning I only paid around £150 to ride for the summer(after cancelation fees). I worked it out at approx 4 rides that works out at around £75 a trip plus petrol... So ask your self how much you want to ride a Vin?
Do I regret it? Hell no! would do it again this year if I hadn't spent all my money on bike parts (This time for a V tiwn.)! Riding at our age you will be really well recieved by any classic bikers.
I have since spoken to Footman james face to face, at a classic car show (race Retro) and was told, If I join the V.M.C.C and my bike is older than 15 years, I get comprehensive cover at unlimited millage no matter what my age for 12 months at £350.)
Also I told them my bike was locked with an Oxford lock and chain.

NB: It always makes me smile when you phone carrol nash for classic bike cover, as they are "experts" and the first 3 questions they ask me for my 1930s bike are 1)Is it standard? (They dont like modified bikes) 2) does it have an alarm, emobaliser or tracker? 3) Is it Turbo/twin turbo charged?
I mean I know Vincents were ahead of there time and all but its a bit optimistic....
