Is that a pressure guage being fed off the pressure relief valve at the bottom of the timing cover and if so what type of oil pump and bearings are being used?

There's no connections to the standard oil pump, oil is fed in at the the top of the timing chest, and it looks like the rocker oil feed also comes out the top of the timing chest. Wouldn't like to have to check the oil pressure whilst riding with the gauge in that location !!

Given the effort put into these bikes I suspect they have installed a pump like the Honda XL pump in the timing chest to provide full pressure lubrication. This would allow them to use a plain bearing big end. I had considered this mod myself, but you have to leave some time to go racing!
