Honda clutch conversion

Can anyone tell me how to machine up a Honda clutch to fit a burman gearbox and what is the best clutch to use .i am rebuilding a standard
Four plate clutch which I hope will do the job but just case

That is not an easy task. I had one for my A twin from Conways and copied 2 more, one for a post war Comet and one for a pre war TTRep.

The trickiest bit is to cut the Burman spline into a new inner hub for the basket. I did not make drawings so can't be of too much help.

There is a lot of machining involved making the new hub even before the splines are cut, and then some machining on the basket

The other issue is making the eccentric adapters for the sprocket to suit the Honda pattern, I just made new sprockets (8620 case hardened!) with the correct holes. No wonder it took 5 years to put the A twin and TTR together!

The clutch used was a Honda CB/CJ 350 which went out of production in the early 1980's
You might want to have a look around any of the local motorcycle breakers, or bite the bullet and contact Conways
