Dear all,
in August I will have a run on the Nürburgring Nordschleife wirth my B Rapide. My Friend Christian will be there with his C Rapide.

We will go there and stay in the paddok with an old Citroen HY.
There is a lot of place to put stickers on the Citroen. Like "Vincent HRD Racingteam" :D
So I need high resolution logos of the Vincent HRD sign. Or the mercury crest.
Is anybody out there able to email me anything.

Good luck! Let us know your lap times. I hope none of the modern rubbish gets in your way.

Wetzlar...

Now - we are digressing but it is all lovely machinery. I have never gone for rangefinder cameras (and it is those which are the real Leicas?), but if instead of Wetzlar it had been Braunschweig (Rolleiflex), then now we are talking!

Dear all,
with the help of Andy E we managed the following:

Is that a modern truck or is it older? What manufacturer and model name?

From the photos it is obvious that you lapped those cars several times. :D

Rangefinders have a certain purity as they were the first 35 mm still cameras , and Lieca are certainly identified with them. Their reflex cameras upto the SL2 were fabulous and just as jewel like as the rangefinders. Sadly after that they declined in quality and were infiltrated by the dreaded plastic !!
My father was a big Rollei fan and had many in his collection which I have inherited. Their quality is undeniable and the image they produce is superb but the TLR thing just doesn't do it for me. I don't find them intuitive to use. Although having said that the baby Rollei , the little grey one , I quite like !
If you want true precision though , early Contax rangefinders and Alpa rangefinders and SLR's are the pinnacle.
