Must admit I have never used lead free valve seats !
And mine are race engines, Maybe should go faster or more miles ?.

After reading Martyn experiences with pistons melting, I initially chose to use leaded high octane race gas in my Rapide. His wisdom and help with ATD issues have lead me to adopt a more available grade of fuel for the use my twin sees on the road. This summer I have been using unleaded non-ethanol marine gas. Bonus for it's much lower cost than the race fuel. I did have to raise the needles up 1-2 notches to keep the midrange mixture acceptable.

PS I have also been using NGK B7EV fine wire plugs. Tremendous improvement in starting.
