evening all, has anyone overcome the leakage of oil from the stem of the hydraulic damper yet? Before i strip mine down what are all the componants inside as detailed on the MO63 drawing.D13 top gland nut,d17?D11? D12 seal holder.D15? D10?D7? D6? D5?.Someone say its better to use one from an Itchyfanny 750 but i prefer to restore mine.alan

I assume you don't have Forty Years On and Another Ten Years, because both contain lots of ingenious mods designed to improve the original design including sealing improvements to eliminate leaks. They're worth buying even if just to find out that there's nothing new under the sun! What the mods can't do is bring a pioneering design, revolutionary in its day, anywhere near the standard of a modern damper. Mine didn't leak, but they didn't damp effectively either, so I bought Thornton dampers which are a night-vs-day improvement.
