Fuel Tank Spout

Dear All,
Does anyone know if and if so where petrol tank spouts are available as a separate items? I have a Vincent tank that has the spout welded too low on the inner edge. This means that the cap edge hits the tank before it seals down on the top lip. I need a spout.

You could try the original cap and filler neck manufacturer. Ceandess provided most filler caps and filler necks to the British bike industry and they still survive. If you go to the filler caps, necks & dipsticks section the necks are still listed. See:

Hello Phelps, If you have weld it anyway, Could you not just cut it and weld a small ring in between, Or get another, Cheaper british tank and cut the spout off it, Good Luck, Bill.

I bought one on eBay but cannot see them listed at the moment. A local welder with whom I was discussing the modification of an Indian tank told me that they are available in stainless and suggested welding that into a mild steel tank as chipping in use is then less of a problem.
