Graham, Maybe you could share this info with the folks of the Norvin section: I was recently sent this image of a Featherbed framed machine. It's another example of the reach of the Featherbed frame across time and history, showing Rick Vesco with a machine he created in the 1950's for running at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Tomorrow, Tuesday, at The Salt (World of Speed event Nov. 2-5 2018) The Turbinator will be attempting to be first wheel driven car to exceed 500 mph. This car was originally built by Rick's brother, Don Vesco (who passed a few years ago), has been modified some and a few weeks ago broke 482 mph.

And today (Wednesday) we see that the salt was fickle and rain over night prevented Turbinator II from backing up their qualifying run yesterday ! DANG !

Speaking of absurdly high speeds at Bonneville... has anyone heard anything about Max Lambky lately? He seems to have disappeared.

Mike Hawthorne was supposed to ride the new solo bike, but it was cancelled. I have not heard why.
