I am currently working on a Rapide basketcase. The previous owner had begun work on a reassembly of the machine but abandoned the project. On first inspection, I can get 2nd and 3rd gear manually but not first and fourth. I have removed the access door and am getting ready to remove the internals to determine the cause of the problem. The first thing I noticed is that the bullet G35 cannot pass cleanly through the G38 bush. It enters far enough so as not to stick out but you cannot extract it without removing the access door. I have never encountered this before. The service sheets state that you should be able to remove this piece via G37 and change or stretch the spring, so this fault strikes me as odd. Anybody else encounter this before? Also any advice on what to look for as to why I can't get 1 and 4? Thanks
