It is my understanding that these motors have steel crankcases, not aluminum.

Nearly all the Top Fuel bikes run PUMA bottom ends made here in the UK and the Netherlands.
They are definitely Aluminium alloy around 30mm thick with 4 bolt mains. Supercharged (hi helix superchargers) on 100% Nitro putting out around 1700 BHP
