Are you talking about these PCV valves?

I think this what you have in mind the cap I machined out of solid.
The PCV valve is modified so it screws into the cap.
The washer under the cap sets the position, the valve is then screwed in and the pipe run to the desired position. When fitted it is hidden behind the tyre pump.
I only used mine until a rebored and new pistons then switched to the standard breather.

I had some oil leakage problems earlier this year and decided to open up the timing chest to check the standard breather timing. I found that the breather sleeve was loose in the pinion and therefore was not rotating thereby cutting of the flow to the outlet. since replacing the pinion assembly with a spare one, the beather is now working as it should with just the standard amount of oil leaks. Which I prefer to having unsightly abortions bolted to my lovely Vin.
