Hi
Sorry about this, my email has been high jacked so if you get an email from me with a link in it, don't use the link, delete the email because it is not from me and it will highjack your email.

Sorry Macvette

Unless it's another virus ,that means someone else has opened an email. I only had three contacts in the VOC. Gordon Powell, Dave Hills and Dave Robeson. You will need to change your password asap.

I’ve had a warning from another UK VOC member (not one mentioned in this thread) whose e-mail has been hijacked. Are we being targeted or is there a lot about?

Hi Tracey,
I dumped, without opening, an email supposedly from you with a subject like " my email has been hacked".
This could be a discreet/sly subject for an automatic hacked email.
Why don't we all adopt the principle of preceding all hand written subject titles with "VOC" so we know that the apparent sender has typed it themselves.

Cheers,
Ian

I don't think we are being targetted, there is a lot of this going on. In my case it came from a fellow bike nut and I clicked on the link which took me to Facebook. This is not unusual because he sometimes posts photos on there. I logged in and that's what triggered the hijack of my email

I can never understand what people gain from these scams.

A few years ago, I had an email from a student called Lucy in LA who wanted to be my friend. At the bottom of the email was a box that said if you don't want to receive any more emails just click on the link below. Like an idiot I clicked on the link and got emails from "students" all over the world - apparently clicking the link confirms they've found a valid email address..........Derrrrrrrrrr.

The only benefit I see is that maybe you'll be interested in the Canadian Pharmacy or Viagra that the attachment sells and buy something. Foolish, though, what Vincent Rider needs Viagra?
