Egli Oil Return Line

Both Eglis shown in the Classics and Thoroughbreds book from 1972 show some fitting in the oil return line. It has a small line connected to it, but I wonder where from?

When I first looked at it, I assumed it was in the supply line and might be a valve, but then looked harder.

Bruce,

Are you referring to the oil temperature sender? Small double ended fitting with a smaller temp probe screwed into the top a little off to one side (the back side in this photo.)

Could be, but the body is longer in the photos in the book. I'll try to scan it and post it here.
