Early 'B' carb differences

I picked up somewhere that there were some differences between Some B and later rapide carbs, one point being the float boals, maybe something to do with the length of the arms?
Anyone know what and if there are any differences?

Early float bowl arms were shorter. Very early carbs. were all adjusted from the same side too.
