Fast Comet

At the 1975 I.O.M. Port Soderick VOC meeting a Comet arrived with handlebars mounted like David's. It had a white rear tail piece alah Dunstall, and the bigest carb you've ever seen. You could almost get your fist down the bell mouth. Following it in were a gaggle of twin riders, all of whom were moaning about the indecent speed that the Comet got up to, and that they could only catch it on long straights. Makes you think what a 600cc jobbie could be made to do. I've never saw that machine again. Can anyone remember it and it's owner?
Nice job David.
Cheers,
