Douglas Vincent

Came across this item on the web its a Vincent spanner and that mark on the other side is I am told for Kingswood the Douglas factory
Either Douglas diversified into tools or there was a lot of swapping of manufacturing in the war I belive at one time Douglas generator engines were made by BSA! got to keep the Lufwaffe guessing....

I think you'll find that there was a UK company manufacturing spanners back in the day - that went by the name Vincent. But no connection with the Vincent-HRD company.... But I have no idea about the Douglas connection!

At the Vincent Factory we had a slight connection with Douglas ? the little three wheel truck that carried parts form on factory to the other had a 600cc side valve Douglas engine
