Does any body know what this came off

Do any of you knowlegable gents/ladies know which motorcycle this Speedo drive was originally fitted to? it has a large drive sprocket and the body diameter is also quite large, it came with some Vincent stuff but it doesn't look like a Vincent part to me, please see the attached picture

It looks like it may have been modified to work on a vintage or veteran bike with an external (not in the hub or brake drum) drive gear. The bracket may have been fastened to the fork leg (front or rear). The cable length will give you an idea whether it was mounted to the front or rear wheel.

Thanks for the reply, I should have provided more information the drive cable length is 27 inches, the drive sprocket is 17/16" diameter please see new picture
and where the drive cable connects the diameter is approximately 3/4" so it's much bigger than the 'standard' type, it's ratio is 1.5:1.
I am sure someone can put it to some good use.
