Dodging the bullet

I have just had my eccentrics reconditioned and fitted them back on the bike. I don't have machining facilities and no " bullet" to aid fitting. I used a length of 1/2 ins clear plastic tube screwed tightly onto the thread of the spindle. When it comes into contact with shoulder of the thread it squashed up to nicely to match the spindle diameter. Screw it on with sufficient length to get a good grip before trimming flush with the spindle thread end. You should find that under compression, it forms a natural curve from the screwed end to the spindle shoulder.
