Anyone got an elegant dismount method for a series D with centre stand ie how do you get off and deploy the stand:eek:

Only if they have very long legs, now me, I have to put the twin on the side stand, then get off, and put it on the centre stand.

Is this some sort of in joke for you people with real Vincent frames, or am I missing something?

I thought you just put one foot on the ground, and swung the other one over the seat. I'll grant you it's not very elegant in a mini skirt, but I only wear the mini on warm days now ....... oops don't tell the wife.

No. It's not a joke. My bike has side stands as well as the centre stand but I can't get one down with my foot so I asked a genuine question, glad you are amused.

Hello Mac, I have a D stand, without the handle and a nice side stand bolted behind the clutch lump, you can flip the side stand down when sitting on the bike, Job done. Cheers Bill.
