Best place in Australia Qld., to have valve seats replaced in a cast iron series A comet head.
And what is the fix for the small crack from the plug to the valve seat ?
Also supply of lower valve guides ?
Thanks for any reply.

If this is meant to be Qld. I'd be asking Greg Brillus. He'd know even if he isn't tooled up for the job himself.

Conways/maughans probably best bet for guides/seats however, sometimes they might need to be made because they could be oversize. I'm sure the cracks have been discussed on here before, and from memory they are best left alone. I'm on the Gold Coast if you need any help with it.......I have a couple of other "A" projects in the shop at present, just add it to the pile..........Cheers.

I was very fortunate to pick up a NOS head back in 2009 for my A Comet. The old head had a lot of "plugs" in it and was really beyond further repair. No idea how a "modern" head could be cracked. I have a pair of valves and upper guides I will sell.
