Correct Headlight for 1950 Vincent Comet

I recently acquired a 1950 Comet. The headlight shell is a "no name" although the glass is a Lucas. The lamp measures 7.5 " O.D. over the rim. The glass measures 7" OD. I don't think the lamp is the right one. I referred to JPB's book and Know Thy Beast but it's still not clear to me. What brand headlight should it be ? and what diameter ? (outside rim or glass please state). Thanks, Any other information regarding the light would be appreciated. David in BC.

Should be the small miller (7" or 6.1/2") depending on which way you look at it

Headlamp sizes were dicussed in last months MPH by the man who actually fitted them at the factory it continues next month
