Comet folding footrests

The footrest hanger hangs down and the peg sticks out. If the hanger is locked on its taper and a folding peg is locked to it, the peg can only rotate on its pivot allowing it to fold up or up & forewards like on a twin. If it is merely bolted through like Chris's left peg or the ebay right peg, rather than being screwed into the hanger and locked with a locknut, it may be possible that the folding peg can rotate. In that case the peg pivot orientation may change so that the peg can fold away from the riders foot.
Maybe I'm just paranoid but Vincent pillion footrests do have a second locator to prevent them from rotating around their fixing bolts.
