Yes, Thanks an important fit, chain guard/lift handle, for a new assemble .
This Comet has been together and my ride for 15 years, maybe 15000 miles.
Electric start is new because I am older and need the comfort of easy start.

Is blocking the wrist pin with wood blocks a suitable method of torqueing the drive side?
Or is there a better method?
KTB recommends this gudgeon pin blocking method.
And also with gearbox/clutch installed simply blocking rear wheel......and this rear wheel method seems to be least stress on flywheel assembly.

Rainy day back on the Comet engine.
Purchased new timing wheel from Jegs, much larger than my old wheel.
Got the wheel adapted to shaft fitting.
Purchase digital indicator to allow a direct reading for me.
Found TDC with bump stop.
Closest i can come to exact cam timing is 32BTDC at .050" lift.
Seems close enough for street use
Cam is Megacycle 554-X1

PS. Was able to hold cam, pull half time pinion, select another keyway and got all my timing numbers closer.
equal lift at 4 btdc, 0.140"
intake .050 at 30
