Comet clutch cable

Could anyone tell me the thread size of the cable abbutmen into the standard Comet gear box. I think that it may be an adjuster, but the standard cable that I bought, is just a plain cable end. Thanks Derek.

No adjuster required Derek, what you need is G94/1 Clutch Cable abutment.

Hi Derek,

Len is correct, but in some cases there is a 3/8 diameter BSF thread there. This could give you another means of adjustment, but it is very difficult to get to.

3/8"CEI correct.

Thanks every one yes mine is standard @3/8" CEI, the reason I needed to know was that paint had clogged the threads and the gear box was fitted and difficult to get to with a tap.

I need to make up a comet clutch cable longer than standard what is the wire diameter required I read cabe is available as #1-2-3 mine mikes as 2mm?
