I feel I should know the answer to this, so will probably hang my head when I read the answer...
Smiths 3" 120mph Chronometric Speedometers originally fitted to Vincents and many others had the zero at around one o'clock position. I always thought this was the only original spec instrument however, I see some repro, but also quite vintage looking 120mph speedos with zero at the seven o'clock position. Was this ever an original fitment on a Vincent?
