Here's a similar Slater Egli. Note pre #50 and also with Robinson brake. Memory can feel so definite and still be off.

Glen: My frame number is EV42D. That is an Egli frame number, stamped on a completed frame at Egli's shop. My crankcase is stamped RSEV54. That was stamped by Roger Slater at his shop for a completed Slater bike. Chris

Hi Chris.
I was also referring to Roger's comment that he did not use Robinson brakes and now we have two Slaters with Robinson brakes!
Good to know about the numbers, perhaps his memory of #s starting at 50 is correct.
