Choke slide

Hi all again,
Can anyone tell me if leaving out the choke slide from my Amal930 is going to have any adverse effect that I hadn't thought of.
I have never had to use choke (it doesn't get cold in Queensland) and the nipple just came off the end of the cable.

Cheers
Kev

Morning Kev, I don't think it will upset it, I have never fitted them till a short while ago, I did a mod' on the Comet where I can't flood it, Still don't use them on the standard type road twin, Cheers Bill.

The ex Cecil Mills twin had never had chokes on it since I owned it, probably 40 years or more now, and it has never been a problem. Just make sure that the hole for the cable at the top of the carb is blocked off.
