Buyer beware - Comet in bits eBay item 333692837647

There is a Tredarvah Farm at or near TR18 4TJ. You can find it on Google maps. It doesn't prove that the seller lives there of course. It would be interesting for someone local to turn up at the grade two listed cottage and ask if they could have a look at the Comet bits.

I heard a similar story where the buyer was relieved of their cash by several blokes with steel bars.

Thats a clear scam and the eBay account has probably been hacked. Just look at what else they are selling which is a vast collection of approx 2900 vehicles including tractors, cars, motorhomes etc.

Plus that Comet in question was recently genuinely sold for around £20,000 to a VOC member.

It is a sad comment on ebay that it was and could be again a great market place and its in ebay hands to sort these scammers out for their own (ebays) long term good. Recently the other end of the transaction was shown to me when a friend selling a car on ebay was visited in the late evening by two blokes who by distracting him adulterated his engine radiator water and exhaust then one went with him for a test drive and when smoke and miisfire occured showed the oil in the water and tried to say they only wanted it for the body work and offered a low price. Luckily my friend had heard of the scam on the radio and got out of it but had to get the car sorted aftwards
