Does anyone know any details on this picture, like where it was taken, and who is sitting on the bike? I found the reference to this photo on landracing.com.

this was taken in the vincent factory ( north rd.)by a fellow employee late 1955 just before it was sent to USA the guy in the fast seat George Rose one of the last people to work at the factory

I didn't know that the fairing was made at the works. Maybe I just assumed it was made in NZ.

You are correct made in New Zealand and a VOC member in NZ has the prototype I have seen it

So the fairing must have been sent to the works from NZ for fitting before the bike was sent to NZ?

no the bike was sent to NZ where it was fitted plus third wheel it went back to UK after it broke the record Earls Court Avon stand 1955 then to USA
