For a colleague who is restoring a Series B Rapide. What is the spindle spacing for the top links for

(a) solo (FT213R & L) and

(b) sidecar (FT213R/1 & L/1)

Drawing MO 30 refers.

Thanks

Vic,

The distance between centres on top links of solo Bramptons is 3-3/8 inches (or 85.725mm to keep Brussels and Bruce Metcalf happy).

Sorry I don't have the sidecar dimension; try Sidecar Grandpa.

Solo top links are as Peter B describes them. They should be stamped 41L and 41R on the inside of the left and right links. The sidecar links are shorter, at 3" or 7.62cm - or 76.2mm - between centres and should be stamped 6L and 6R.

Hey, I prefer God-fearing inches myself! I admit, though, that my Rap's Kaw steering damper is held on with metric bolts.
