My Road bike averaged 141.9 mph on a flying kilo in the 70s and did 111mph over the line of a standing start 1/4 mile=12.6 sec'. I got 99.8 on a flying 1/4 on my road Comet, Was upset, wanted 100 !! Cheers Bill.
At 5000 feet, it`s a little different.

You`ll get some clues about records here.

We just missed the cutoff where they stop for the day, so Max will be in line first thing tomorrow.

Kurt made a couple more runs after the 144 above, and they have a new record average at 145 and change, pending certification. They may continue to run. Excellent results so far, congrats to Kurt and his Vincent Vikings team.

Isn't it great that at least one Black Lightning is still being used as intended instead of locked away in a collection. I can't even start to find proper words to thank Kurt for doing this. A big thumbs up to you Kurt.
Cheers, John

Yeah, it is awesome. From the TT carbs and KVFTT mag to the high compression Specialloid pistons for the methanol diet, it is so much like its original factory spec it is scary.

Max is at the start line, but we are waiting for the wind to die down.
