A barn find Red Rapide went for $85K ($99K with buyers premium). A pre war Meteor thought to be the last pre war single went for $40K ($46.8K). A few other Vins weren't too bad.

The Petrol tank went for such a high amount as the seller cleverly coated it with a layer of spray on dust to maximise the hammer price. You know we all love motorcycle parts covered in dust, there is just something irresistable about it!

So much for the depression/recession. The prices for tanks/Oil tanks and Heads were astounding. If they were bought by dealers then don't expect any bargains soon. I bought a perfectly good Series C tank in primer for $600 just before Christmas; the queue starts on the left.....
