lot 249, 1955 Black Prince matching numbers, estimated 100-120,000, sold for 105,000
lot 265, 1952 Comet matsching numbers, estimated 24-28,000, unsold at 18.000 higher offer
lot 276, 1947 Rapide B, non-match, estimated 40-50,000, sold at 40.000

Please, comment (if you want)

Add buyer's premium to those prices and you get $122,500 for the Shadow and Prince. Rapide at $46,800 seems fair. At auctions anything is possible.

that is about 84k GBP for a Shadow or Prince.
I would not dare riding one of those bikes, let alone park them on the street to go visit places. Image they got stolen. Here in Germany i believe it will be near impossible to get one of those bikes insured for the price they were bought, or the premium will be more than 2 grand a year !?!?

Auctions America lot 698, the B Shadow.

The guy in New Zealand who owns the bike fitted with the original crankcase F10AB/1B/1938 has contacted me. He has had the motor apart, and found the cases perfect WITH NO EVIDENCE OF EVER SUFFERING DAMAGE IN THE PAST! He also says he has paperwork on the machine going back as far as 1969 when it was located in the UK. This seems to contradict what’s been said in the description of the bike in the auction.
