Many years ago, whilst visiting Glenn Bewley, we were looking at old brake plates, and Glenn had one which was blue on the inside face.
This came from a bike which was classified as a red touring Rap'

In the article I wrote on the Blue Vincent I mentioned that I gave the numbers to Gordon and Vince. Their response was that there was nothing notable on the build sheet about the color.

Regarding Glenn's plate, I have not seen it, but Carleton Palmer has been researching the bike and has the provenance on the parts (as much as is available) and that is how we found the blue plate. Glenn's could fit the same provenance and I will pass it on to Carleton.

As it turns out, the comments I made above about the dealer and the fatal accident are not quite correct. There was a fatal accident, but it was a little more complicated. Carleton's tale is pretty interesting.
