Talking about engines, Len-I was given the engine "pics" of the Vincent twin by a Morini friend -from "Classic Bike", I believe. Very nice , but Jacqueline B. and I both agree that we have no wish to see the inside of our engines!!

No Problem, but all of our bikes are at least 65 years old and have been rebuilt and rebuilt and rebuilt and and and.... are only as good as the last numbskull that laid spanners on. So although the basic principles behind the design are sound and the engineering (probably) good, by now, ham fistedness, ignorance and metal fatigue have to make any, old machine a bit of a gamble. I teach Design and I like to see new ideas being tried out, some, maybe most will lead up blind alleys, but some will lead to the worlds fastest motorbike or a cure for small pox. As Douglas Adams wrote " the secret is to keep banging the rocks together guys".

Cheers
