Rather Ben than me, I hate riding slowly on the road in those conditions, racing does not bear thinking about, my son also used to race, quite successfully as an amateur, and he loved the wet because no one else did, but that was on modern stuff with wets on, that he assured me gripped the track really well, frightened the crap out of me watching him.
Yes it was a tad wet in Race 2. I was out in it too and not overly sorry when it was red flagged.
PS. The new for this year belly pans were excellent for catching water. So much so that escaping oil would not have had anywhere to go other than on the track and there was evidence of oil on the track in loads of places.
