I saw this the other day Bill, amazing what can be done with a bit of ingenuity.

There was a suggestion years ago that square exhaust pipes worked better than round ones one of the old tuners (Petty?) had a manx norton with one. Based something to do with grain silos flowing more grain with a square cross section than a round one.

if Ray Petty tried it and discontinued it it was not succesful. One of the two stroke guys tried it too. Similar story.
