We keep banging on about it but please, BEFORE buying a Vincent or bidding in any auction or on eBay, contact either Simon Dinsdale (registrar998@voc.uk.com) or myself (research998@voc.uk.com) at the Machine Dating Service with details of the machine, so we can check it out for you.
Ideally, we need photographs of both frame numbers, the engine and crankcase mating numbers but just quoting numbers is better than nothing.
Please be vigilant.
