Hi all, my shadow is fitted with a bth mag but I've had it's original mag restored so hoping to put back on.
My question is should I? The bike is super easy to start hot or cold at the moment and runs great! but I'd like to get the original mag back on.
I'm hoping starting will be as easy any thoughts

Morning Russell, I would leave the new one on,
The old type were always a bodge of a 180 degree twin,
Till the "D" s with the Distributor, Which I think is much better,
But nice that you have a Spare, Which is worth keeping.
Cheers Bill.

Unless you intend to enter a concours competition anytime soon, my advice would be to put your restored Lucas magneto away somewhere in a warm dry environment, and leave your perfectly running BTH magneto on the the bike, I have had one running faultlessly on my twin for a years, but I did have to replace the exterior coils a few years ago.
