AUSTRALIAN VINCENT RIDERS RALLY!

Brian Hale, an active member if the VOC Victoria Section (Australia), is looking for members interested in taking part in an Australian annual Vincent riders rally.

Members must ride to and from the destination on their Vincent. The aim is not to gather for a few days based in one location as per other rallies; but to enjoy the planning and the ride (touring) to a selected destination in Australia and meet other Vincent riders for a dinner at the selected location, then ride home either the same way or via a different route.

The idea is to encourage Vincent owners in Australia to tour on their bikes as the maker intended. Possibly along the lines of a reasonably central destination to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide that is a good one or two day ride from each capital city or a different destination to favor a different state each year.

If you are interested in registering your interest in this great sounding event, could you please contact Brian Hale. Email - brianh1967@yahoo.com

Subject: Australian Vincent riders dinner 2013

Hello everyone,

Thank you to those who have replied so far, showing interest in an Australian Vincent riders dinner. So far there is interest from people from Cairns, QLD to Roxbury Down, SA.

WHY - Firstly the idea is to establish an annual "Vincent riders dinner. A dinner that you ride your Vincent to. A destination that provides for a good one or two day ride on your Vincent as the maker intended. Meeting up with other like minded Vincent riders for a social dinner.

WHERE - "Tumbarumba"
Choosing a destination to suit everyones preferences is impossible. So to pick a reasonably nice town or pub, with good amenities as central as practicable for each state with good roads was the aim.
It is totally up to the individual or group to plan their own route there and home again depending on the time they have or the roads they like. Much of the enjoyment when touring on a motorcycle is in the planning and preparation.

The Tumbarumba hotel has 18 rooms, lock up garages for motorcycles, a bistro and a restaurant. Also in Tumbarumba there are 2 motels, B&Bs and a caravan park with camping to cabins available.

Additional information on the location is available here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumbarumba

and here

WHEN - "Sat 30th of November 2013."
I was thinking this side of Xmas as the National Vincent rally is after Xmas.

If you are interested please let me know so I can book you in for dinner. Also let me know if you want your email known to the other people attending so that people can organise to ride together if they chose to.

Kind regards

Brian Hale ; email to: brianh1967@yahoo.com

PS - Over a meal and a drink at this year’s dinner we can all discuss details for the following year and how to make this a must on every Vincent riders annual calendar.

NB - This is not a Vincent Owners Club event. It is up to all individuals to plan their own route to and from Tumbarumba, accommodation and meals. Each individual is responsible for their own safety and well being and the security of their motorcycle and belongings. We are a group of Vincent riders meeting up for dinner.
