I managed to blow it up (The article not the bike!) So perhaps when I said I remembered Tom Reeves 500 'D' being referred to as a Victor I was not so wrong it left the factory as a Victor and was stripped of its skirts to make a 'D' Comet. then the article goes on to say about a third Victor!,hey ho what a tangled web

This is not Tim's article, but MPH 246 page 17 July 1969 there is an article by Brian Terry. Pictures in MPH255.

Never mind the Victor, there is something really interesting in Bill Lawless' first column for MPH in No 255 April 1970 :

Dont tell me, there are at least 5 original GB series A sprinters and 2 Gunga Dinns.....

The world has gone mad,still look om the bright side ,the Vincent is the only vehicle I own in which the bike is worth more than the petrol in the tank,Happy Day's
