Misc: Ignition ATD thrust washers

Recently I disassembled my ATD and riveted on a new Delrin gear. In the process of reassembly, I found myself with only one of the two small thrust washers. This little washer, which appears to be hardened, has an ID of about 3/16 inch, an OD of 5/16 inch and an approximate thickness of .010 inch. This fits on the little spindle on which the articulating linkage between the springs and bob weights rides. Not sure if it goes on the spindle above or below the link. Interestingly, with dry assembly spring tension creates a significant gap under the linkage. I know of no source for the washer, despite an hour of internet research. I emailed "Bright Spark " magneto repair because that company was mentioned in a recent HRD magazine article concerning ATD disassembly, and was told that they don't have those thrust washers. I would like to know if anyone knows of a source for this washer or whether this is even a critical component. Thanks, Charles Cannon
