A great shot of Lex with the supercharged Cooper Irving Vincent that won the national Hillclimb championship in NSW in 1957. The decompression lever is attached to what may be a balance tube to clean up the pulses between cylinders, which seems to always be a problem on supercharged 4 strokes of small displacement. Note the extra oil feed to the cams in the original photo. This plumbing was removed on the restored version of the engine that was raced at Rob Roy below.
Looks like a balance pipe for the supercharged inlets. David's post popped up while I was trypewriting . Was going to say the oil pipes were more interesting.
