I have a B Rapide with the T Bar arrangement securing the alternator / dynamo. I noticed it was a little loose and turning it further in, locktighting it and securing its locknut did little to help. Fearing the worst I tightened the clamp over the alternator and snap, out it came.

Right now I've come in from the shed in denial, but the grim reality is that I can't see how it can be helicoiled or drilled and tapped out without removing the engine from the frame. Any ideas?
