Alton Generators

I've just bought one which comes with a wiring diagram. Fine, but my bike has coil ignition with a red warning light that goes out as soon as the engine fires up. Is there any way that an Alton can be wired to operate a charge warning light?

Nortons, possibly Commandos, used a warning light assimilator, about the size and shape of an old flasher unit, to give an ignition warning light that went out once the engine was running.

I had a look at the NOC website about warning light assimilators but these are used in conjunction with crankshaft mounted alternators which I don't have. Thanks for the tip though, it could have been the answer.

The ALton is an alternator and has two wires coming out of it just like the Commando stator.
